Spotlert Help Center
How can we help?
Find quick answers about reporting spots, holds, groups, shared household vehicles, reminders, notifications, and your account.
Getting started
Reporting spots
Report an open parking spot
Position the crosshair at the curb, describe the opening, and confirm the report.
Why open-spot reports expire
Automatic expiration prevents old parking observations from looking current.
Correct a spot address or map position
A suggested address moves the map, but you still confirm the exact curb position.
Hold requests
Groups and members
My Vehicles and households
My Vehicles and households
A household privately shares a vehicle’s parking location with the people you live with.
Create or join a household
Start a household from My Vehicles, or accept an invitation from a household member.
Invite someone to your household
Administrators invite by email; invitations expire after seven days.
Add a vehicle to your household
Household administrators add each shared vehicle and how it is labelled.
Save where you parked with Park Here
Park Here saves a shared vehicle’s location for your household.
What “I’m Taking It” means
Marks the shared vehicle as in use so the household stops looking for it.
Get directions to your parked vehicle
Opens your usual maps app with the saved parking coordinates.
Who can see your vehicle location
Only members of that household — never parking groups or the public.
Vehicle reminders
Vehicle reminders
Shared reminders for oil changes, inspections, registration, and similar tasks.
Record your vehicle’s mileage
Mileage is entered by hand and is always optional.
Repeating vehicle reminders
Repeat every few months, every few miles, or whichever comes first.
Mark a vehicle reminder complete
Any household member can complete a reminder, and Spotlert records who did.
Vehicle and reminder notifications
Two separate switches: vehicle updates and vehicle reminders.
