Record your vehicle’s mileage

Spotlert never reads your odometer automatically. From the vehicle’s reminders screen, choose Update mileage and type the current reading as a whole number.

Spotlert records the reading, who entered it, and when, so the household can see how current it is. Mileage is optional and is not needed to save parking locations or use any other feature.

If you enter a number lower than the one on record — a replaced or corrected odometer — Spotlert asks you to confirm rather than rejecting it.

Until someone records a reading, mileage-based reminders show “Current mileage not recorded” instead of guessing.
